INVEST

Deep power building is the result of generations of freedom fighters, visionaries, organizers, and supporters who believed in and backed their movements for change. With a focus on meeting partner needs and community well-being, we disbursed nearly 200 grants amounting to over $5.5 million.

OUR INTERSECTIONAL APPROACH

Our work is guided by a multifaceted approach that addresses critical issues at the intersection of gender, race, and economics. Whether it’s safeguarding the rights of California’s domestic workers, investing in criminal justice reform, or resourcing organizations committed to reclaiming ancestral lands for Indigenous communities, our commitment is to ensure the health, safety, and prosperity of all.

TRAIN

We believe those closest to systemic problems are best equipped to develop and create the solutions we need. This grounding principle serves as the foundation of our training programs: the Solís Policy Institute, the Summer Leadership Institute, and the Funders Policy Institute.

LOOKING AHEAD

To plant seeds of justice and help generations of women, women of color, and gender-expansive grassroots leaders in California flourish and thrive, we must nourish the soil from which grassroots leaders draw their strength. As a leader in feminist funding, advocacy, and generating power for racial, economic, and gender justice, Women’s Foundation California nurtures visionary community-based leaders and organizations across generations.

Our Campaign for a Feminist Future mobilizes near-term, long-term, and everlasting investments to ensure our movements have not only the resources, but also the trust and the time required to transform our world. To learn more about opportunities to support the Time to Transform Circle, the Dr. Beatriz María Solís Memorial Endowment, the Michele Cale Opportunity Fund, and the Ruth McGuire Legacy Circle, contact Stephanie Green, Chief Strategist for Partnerships.

This work is powered by you.

The feminist future we are building together in California is going to be built by all of us sharing our time, our money, and our skills.  Please consider contributing today.
