This formidable group of over twenty young feminists between the ages of 14 and 18 are dreaming, reimagining, and co-creating California’s intersectional feminist future.
Meet our new Summer Leadership Institute cohort.
Coming from Dixon, Coachella, Oakland (and lots of places in between), this year’s Summer Leadership Institute cohort builds support and weaves connections for young Black, Indigenous women and femme-identified folks championing meaningful changes for themselves and their communities.
Whether it’s learning models for self-care or developing their own voice through art or poetry, our Summer Leadership Institute cultivates storytelling, advocacy, and leadership skills and strengthens our movement for generations to come. The summer-long program is available for free to all participants through California Women Rising.
We’re excited to build with these fierce young feminist leaders this summer and beyond. We can’t wait to see what they do next.
