Grant Partners in the News - Women's Foundation California

Congratulations to our grant partners who have been in the news recently! We are proud to support the ground-breaking efforts of these organizations. Since 1979, we have invested $28.8 million dollars supporting over 1,200 organizations in California whose work advances the health, safety and economic security of Californians.

Banteay Srei was featured in the New York Times on May 24, 2011 for their innovative, culturally-responsive work with young women affected by the sex trade in Oakland.

A New Way of Life Reentry Project, a grant partner of our Race, Gender and Human Rights Donor Circle, received national attention when Susan Burton and her daughter Antoinette Carter were interviewed live on the CBS show The Talk.

ACT for Women and Girls has been generating great media coverage on the Central Valley, including a television interview with two of their young women leaders on KSEE.

The Strong Families Initiative, led by Asian Communities for Reproductive Justice, partnered with several other organizations – including fellow grant partners California Latinas for Reproductive Justice and the Center for Young Women’s Development – for a two-week long “Mama’s Day” series on a variety of online venues to highlight and celebrate the lives and experiences of mothers and families.

This work is powered by you.

The feminist future we are building together in California is going to be built by all of us sharing our time, our money, and our skills.  Please consider contributing today.

Together We Are Unstoppable.
