This past November, Black mothers occupied a vacant home with their families on Magnolia Street in Oakland. Calling themselves “Moms 4 Housing,” they asked a simple question: “Why should anyone, especially children, sleep on the street while perfectly good homes sit empty?” Watch Co-Founder Misty Cross’s powerful speech.
