Angelica Felix is an accomplished accounting professional with over 15 years of experience, including more than a decade in public accounting serving not-for-profit organizations such as higher education institutions, foundations, and social service agencies. She has led all phases of audit engagements, provided guidance on complex technical accounting issues, implemented accounting policies and procedures, and overseen the preparation and issuance of financial statements.
In her current role as Controller at the YMCA of the East Bay, Angelica ensures the implementation of new accounting standards, strengthens internal controls, and delivers timely, accurate financial information to support informed decision-making and mission-driven impact. She is a proud first-generation Latinx college graduate, who earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Francisco State University. Her lived experience fuels her deep commitment to equity, representation, and access—values that guide her personal and professional life. She currently serves as an audit committee member for The Women’s Foundation of California.
