Do you want to feel your power with changemakers from across the state? Would you like to connect with other grassroots leaders, policy makers, and business leaders to work across sectors to chart the path toward gender justice in California? Then we want to see you at California Women Rising on June 6th!
A first of its kind convening, California Women Rising: Partnership, Power, Transformation, will connect self-identified women and gender nonconforming people to advance social change and lead California into the next decade. Together, we can dismantle systems that don’t work for women and families across California and bring women closer to the seats at the tables of power. Please save the date for California Women Rising June 6th in Los Angeles.
There is no denying that women and gender non-conforming folks have been, and continue to be, at the forefront of change in California, whether we are tackling the gender pay gap, pushing for criminal justice reform, or advocating for racial equity. In a year charged with high-stakes elections and critical census counts, taking the time to come together in person, get connected, and learn from each other feels especially vital. In that spirit of connection and partnership, the Women’s Foundation of California is thrilled to be working alongside the Office of the First Partner of California and The California Endowment to design, develop, and host California Women Rising.
Part celebration, part strategy session, California Women Rising will feature leaders working across policy, culture, business, and community who are pushing real change from Sacramento to Fresno to Oakland to Los Angeles and beyond. The summit at the JW Marriott in Downtown Los Angeles will become a hub of collaboration and transformation as we build and learn together to ensure the gender just future we know is possible.
We want to see you in Los Angeles on June 6th. Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks as we confirm speakers and develop more of the program. Sign up to receive email updates here.
Together, we rise!
