Training
For nearly two decades, we’ve trained a powerhouse network of organizers, advocates, funders, individual philanthropists, and friends who are reshaping California’s policy landscape.
Women’s Policy Institute
The Women’s Policy Institute (WPI) is an experiential policy advocacy training program advancing racial, economic, and gender justice throughout the state of California. Over the course of a year-long fellowship, WPI delivers tools, builds networks, and develops leadership across a dynamic cohort of leaders who are ready to shape California’s policies. This non-partisan program is run in two versions; WPI-State and WPI-Local.
Alum Network
76% of alum are still engaged in policy advocacy after their fellowship.
Nearly 530 members strong, the WPI Alum network forms a statewide community of strong, savvy, passionate leaders and give who are changing policies, laws, and budgets that govern our political, social, and economic lives.
Funders Policy Institute
The Funders Policy Institute is a hands-on experiential learning program focused on capacity building and network facilitation. Participants will learn directly from policymakers and advocates while connecting with other individual philanthropists who are committed to effective, policy-based grantmaking.
