- Cathryn Rivera-Hernandez was appointed by Governor Newsom in June 2019 to serve as Appointments Secretary. Ms. Rivera-Hernandez served three administrations as a Board Member on the Agricultural Labor Relations Board beginning with her appointment by Governor Davis in November 2002.
- Elmy Bermejo, Women’s Foundation California Board member, is the Regional Director of Northern California for the Office of the Governor.
- Lauren Babb is the Vice President of Public Affairs at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte AND Chair for the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls. She is an SPI Class of 2020 alum.
- Diana Vazquez was appointed Deputy Director of Legislation at the California Department of Toxic Substances Control by Governor Gavin Newsom in September 2020. Ms. Vazquez was the SPI mentor/co-mentor for the environmental justice cohorts in 2017 and 2019.
