As a fourth-generation Sacramentan, I’ve been inspired by my family to invest in community. It means something personal for me to invest in justice work tied to Sacramento.
My grandfather, one of the first Black lawyers in Sacramento, worked tirelessly on civil rights cases that had local, regional and national impact. From my mother, an educator and community advocate, I learned that anyone can make a difference in their community. My work at Women’s Foundation California is a reflection of their inspiration on my life.
Join the Sacramento Big Day of Giving
This year I want to see more money flowing towards the racial, gender, and economic justice that we champion at Women’s Foundation California. Make a contribution to the Big Day of Giving today!
Together, we can advance a feminist future for Sacramento and the whole state of California.
