Faith Marie Avalos Chinnapong (she/they) is a first-gen, Latina, re-connecting Indigenous, queer, women who is system-impacted by the prison industrial complex. She is currently the Senior California State Organizer for URGE: Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity. They currently work with young people ages 18-30, centering the leadership of young people of color, women, queer, trans, and nonbinary folks, and people of low-income to identify, build, train and develop a diverse base of young leaders and activists to create, run local, state, and national reproductive justice campaigns. She believes that without a deep understanding of Intersectionality and Reproductive Justice and their impotence, the stigmas and inequities compounding access to reproductive healthcare culturally competent education, safe and equitable workplaces and so many other gendered issues will continue within the heterosexual, white dominated society.
