Jennifer Chou is a movement lawyer with over a decade of experience leading advocacy at the intersection of reproductive, gender, and LGBTQ+ justice. She is currently Health Policy Director at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, where she leads the Center’s work to advance and protect policies that ensure queer and trans Angelenos can access the health care they need to thrive. Previously, Jennifer was Senior Staff Attorney for the ACLU of Northern California’s Gender, Sexuality, and Reproductive Justice program and Managing Director of Policy for AAPI Equity Alliance and Stop AAPI Hate. Across her work, Jennifer has led statewide policy campaigns, advised government agencies and legislative leaders, and built cross-sector coalitions to advance equity, access, and civil rights. Her experience spans the full trajectory policy change—from development and passage to implementation and enforcement—grounded in a commitment to collaboration and community-led solutions.
Jennifer holds a J.D. from the UCLA’s David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy and a B.A. from Wellesley College. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys hiking, baking badly, and haunting her local library.
