Jennifer Chou is an attorney and movement leader working at the intersection of reproductive, gender, and LGBTQ+ justice. She currently serves as Managing Director of Policy for AAPI Equity Alliance. Previously, she served as Senior Staff Attorney and Interim Director of the Gender, Sexuality & Reproductive Justice Program at the ACLU of Northern California, where she led statewide efforts to advance comprehensive sex education and protect the rights of LGBTQ+ students. At the ACLU, Jennifer championed the implementation of California’s sex ed mandate and helped spearhead the 2024 SAFETY Act, which prohibits schools from forcing staff to out LGBTQ+ students—codifying and strengthening long-standing protections in state law.
Jennifer holds a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law’s David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy and a B.A. in Political Science, Women’s Studies, and Asian American Studies from Wellesley College.
