Lania is the Wellness Services Director at the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center in Oakland California. She is a West Oakland Native whose work in Oakland has been with youth and adults from all walks of life. Her experiences have been working with community members engaged in sex work, current and former foster care youth, the re-entry population, and the un-housed communities in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Lania has spoken nationally on various panels and podcast on topics such as: Aging out of sex work, Cis & Trans Women and & PrEP access and the 10th biennial San Francisco Bay Area Sex Worker film festival. She is a river guide and volunteers providing river trips to people living with HIV. Her passion is to build appropriate & inclusive programming and services for all community members, specifically sex workers and the LGBTQ + community. She is currently working on her Associates Degree in African American Studies.
