The daughter of Lebanese immigrants, Leah Daoud was born and raised in the Bay Area. Leah joined UnCommon Law as a Program Support Coordinator in 2019 before transitioning to her current role as a Policy Associate in March 2020. In this role, Leah analyzes key criminal justice reform legislation, works in partnership with other community organizations, and advocates for the health, wellness, and freedom of incarcerated people who have been convicted of violent crimes. Before joining UnCommon Law, Leah worked at the American Jobs Project, an advanced energy think tank; interned at the White House during the Obama Administration; and served as a summer press assistant at the office of Attorney General Kamala Harris. Leah received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2017.
