Malissa Thomas is a compassionate advocate dedicated to dismantling systems of oppression and empowering survivors. She is a staff attorney at Free to Thrive where she provides trauma-informed legal representation to survivors, conducts outreach to identify and support survivors in local jails, and participates in policy advocacy at the local and state levels to help build a more equitable world. Working directly with survivors and people in custody, Malissa sees the way the system is perpetuating harm every day, and she supports policy changes that work to dismantle oppressive systems.
