Marisol provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure that Women’s Foundation California’s programs and initiatives amplify community voices, redistribute and mobilize power and resources to strengthen and sustain robust gender and racial justice movements. She is a Solís Policy Institute alum with over 2 decades of experience in policy advocacy, program and organizational development, and strategic planning. A first generation Xicana and intersectional feminist, Marisol is deeply committed to resourcing and supporting grassroots leaders and movements fighting on the frontlines for justice and liberation. Marisol was previously the Associate Director and founding member of the California Latinas for Reproductive Justice’s (CLRJ). She served on the board of California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom for 12 years, most recently as its President, and currently serves on the board of the Western Center on Law and Poverty. Marisol graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Latin American Studies. Marisol is a travel enthusiast and enjoys her loyal companion, a playful dog named Frida. She resides in Los Angeles, CA.
