They/Them; She/Her

Community Organizer, Essie Justice Group

Criminal Justice Reform

Minerva brings several years of experience as an abolitionist political education facilitator and tenant organizer in South Los Angeles and Inglewood to Essie. As a system-impacted and second-generation immigrant, they have a deep passion for organizing and supporting community members and leaders in being active in campaign and power building work. Minerva is also a visual artist with an emphasis in screen printing, creating at the intersection of art and movement work. Most recently, they co-created a screen printing fundraising initiative to redistribute resources directly to people who are system-impacted. Minerva believes deeply in the leadership of Black and brown people and communities and of the power of this movement.
