Sam Lew (she/her) is a Bay Area-based communications specialist strategizing at the intersections of organizing, media, legislation, litigation, and direct action. As the Senior Communications Manager at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sam oversees statewide media and communications strategy for groundbreaking civil rights impact litigation and movement work, including public banking, eliminating fines and fees in the criminal legal system, and ending immigrant detention and family separation. In her free time, she enjoys performing with API theatre group Bad Rep Theatre, trying her hand at audio storytelling, gardening, and hanging out with her sassy 17-year-old dog, Ebony.
