This is the second session of the Healing from Trauma workshop series. Led by Sonya Young Aadam and Natalie Champion, this session will address generational trauma by providing a deeper understanding of its influence on our daily lives and sharing ways to change.
Sonya Young Aadam is the CEO at California Black Women’s Health Project. A University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business graduate, Sonya endeavors to develop and support transformative interventions in under-resourced, urban communities. Sonya joined the California Black Women’s Health Project as CEO in 2014. Her deep passion for Black women’s health and wellness is driven by her deep faith, commitment to social equity, and a heartfelt sentiment that “…we lift as we climb”.
Natalie Champion is the Senior Project Coordinator at California Black Women’s Health Project. Natalie provides community outreach and forges partnerships with community-based organizations in order to promote the health and wellness of Black women and girls.
