Our grant partners advance solutions related to economic prosperity, health, safety and leadership – from the fields of the Central Valley to the halls of the State Capitol. They do this through the strength of their strategies and their ability to work in partnership with others.
They are dynamos like Lateefah Simon. She was just 15 and fresh out of juvenile hall when she walked into the Center for Young Women’s Development, a former grant partner of the Women’s Foundation. By 19, she was the Center’s executive director. Lateefah is now the executive director of Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and a former board member of the Women’s Foundation of California.
Her work is making a difference! Check out Lifetime Television’s tribute to her tireless advocacy on behalf of young women. Learn more about Lifetime’s Remarkable Women on their website.
