Aidee Zuno serves as the Assistant Director of Economic Development at Rising Communities, where she leads the “Mothers Rising for Guaranteed Basic Income” initiative, focused on empowering mothers often marginalized by current systems. Born to immigrant parents in South Los Angeles, Aidee’s work is deeply informed by her community’s enduring resilience against systemic oppression. She is passionately committed to social justice, advocating for economic equity and criminal justice reform to dismantle disparities affecting marginalized groups. Aidee holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco and co-founded South Central Sisters, a collective dedicated to empowering women of color as community change agents. Her work is driven by a vision of achieving true justice for all.
