Astin Williams is from Berkeley, California, and is a Program Coordinator for the California LGBTQ Health and Human Services Network. In this role, Astin advocates for LGBTQ+ mental health and the importance of collecting SOGI data across California. Committed to health education, Astin joined the Network in November 2022 with over a decade of experience advocating for LGBTQ and Reproductive health across Northern California. Astin earned her B.A. in Psychology and Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Cal Poly Humboldt and her MPH from CSU, Sacramento.
Astin is also the Founder of Love Liberated, a nonprofit collective that promotes sexual liberation for QTBIPOC individuals within Sacramento, CA. Drawing from their personal and professional experiences, Astin advocates for LGBTQ2S+ health through intersectional approaches prioritizing QTBIPOC voices. Astin’s work centers on empowering the community to have full agency over their bodies and supporting individuals with the tools for meaningful self-advocacy.
