Beatriz Hernandez was born and raised in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico and at the age of twelve migrated with her family to the United States. Since then, she has lived in the country fully undocumented. However, despite her immigration status she graduated from the University of California, Merced with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and is now a Senior Statewide Organizer with the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) where she uses her personal experiences and professional expertise to move life changing legislation that upholds the humanity of immigrants while advancing racial, social and economic justice. Beatriz is also an advocate and leader for unDACAmented students and professionals, a speaker and presenter, reseller, among other roles. Her goal is to always lead with community and create social change.
