Carielle Escalante has worked in the domestic violence field for 5 years. She is currently the DV Regional Coordinator for Rainbow Services, Ltd., a Los Angeles agency that provides shelter and supportive services for individuals experiencing DV. In her current role, Carielle works towards building and strengthening relationships between victim service providers and homeless service providers. A large focus of her work also includes advocating for policies that offer protections to survivors within city, county, and state agencies, all with the goal of improving the system and reducing the staggering numbers of survivors experiencing homelessness. Prior to this role, Carielle worked as a paralegal, providing critical legal services for survivors who faced significant challenges in accessing civil and criminal legal systems to obtain the protection they needed.
