Video Blog: In Honor of Cesar Chavez – Three Videos Featuring the Central Valley - Women's Foundation California

Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the UFW & President of the Dolores Huerta Foundation

In honor of Cesar Chavez, co-founder of the United Farm Workers (UFW), we’re pleased to present three short videos featuring women leaders in the Central Valley.

Filmed during our 2010 Sowing Change tour, these videos bring to life the challenges facing Central Valley residents, as well as their ideas for making change. Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the UFW with Chavez, joined us on the tour. She made vivid connections to the activism that took place in the 60’s, farm workers’ victories and the work that still needs to be done to ensure the health and economic security of the Central Valley’s residents.
