TRAIN
We believe those closest to systemic problems are best equipped to develop and create the solutions we need. This grounding principle serves as the foundation of our training programs: the Solís Policy Institute, the Summer Leadership Institute, and the Funders Policy Institute.

Celebrating SPI
This year marked the 20th Anniversary of the Solís Policy Institute (formerly Women’s Policy Institute). Gathering together in the courtyard of the California Museum filled us with overwhelming pride to belong to such an amazing community. With nearly 300 attendees joining us, including 130 alums from across the state, and supported by the commitment of 17 sponsors, this event will fuel us forward in our work to advance racial, economic, and gender justice.

Signed into Law
When intersectional feminist policy becomes law, we’re all winners. And we won big last legislative cycle: 5 SPI State Bills made it to the Governor’s desk, with 4 signed into law.

27 Young Feminists
Summer Leadership Institute (SLI)
In 2022, we hosted the second SLI. Over 20 young feminists, ages 14 to 18, dreamed, reimagined, and co-created California’s intersectional feminist future in community. In 2023, we strengthened our recruiting, doubling the number of applicants to 70 from across the state.
Over 90 alums
Funders Policy Institute (FPI)
In 6 years and with over 90 alums, we’ve committed to leveling up funding for policy advocacy that advances racial, economic, and gender justice.
