ANNUAL REPORT
2021 - 2022
Across 2021 and 2022, what we desire and what we are creating for ourselves and our community has never been clearer – health, safety, and prosperity for all Californians.
A Word From The CEO
Surina Khan
Together, we’re building an intersectional feminist future and present for California.
Our work over the last 12 months highlights the ways in which we already have the creativity and the courage to make new models that welcome instead of exclude, that build instead of destroy, that collaborate instead of divide. As we heal, we gain clarity and we build power. By growing our collective power together we can advance racial, economic, and gender justice together.
HEALTH
We nourished bodily autonomy. We encouraged physical and environmental health.
SAFETY
We advanced policy and supported organizations to build a California where our bodies, our families, and our communities are healthy, safe, and prosperous.
PROSPERITY
Money is political and personal. In a state with beaucoup bucks and oppressive economic inequality, we are remaking our economic policies and practices in California to build an equitable, inclusive, and just economy.
FY 2021-2022 Financials
We can be bold enough to fund what is immediately ahead of us and invest in the long-term work of changemaking.

Forward
Women of color and gender expansive folks know the way forward. At Women’s Foundation California, our path to a feminist future is integrated and our approach is intersectional. Whether we’re partnering with young changemakers or passing feminist legislation, we know together we are the change we’ve been waiting for. Rooted in our values, our strategic roadmap builds towards that future.
