The next wave of feminist leaders is rising in Los Angeles, and the 2025 SolĂs Policy Institute-Local fellows are leading the way. From city councils to community coalitions, they are shaping local policy rooted in justice and possibility.
This evening is more than a celebration—it’s a gathering of the ecosystem that makes this work possible. SPI fellows and alums, policymakers, elected leaders, and community partners will come together to reflect, connect, and envision what’s next.
Through stories, recognition, and conversation, we’ll honor the power of grassroots leadership while strengthening the coalitions that carry our movements forward. Together, we’ll celebrate how local policy—built block by block, policy by policy—is transforming Los Angeles into a model of feminist, community-driven change.
The evening will move like a conversation—with space to listen, witness, and connect. You’ll hear reflections from this year’s fellows, words from local leaders like Héctor T. Plascencia and Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez, and a closing toast from Jessica Nowlan to carry us forward.
There will be food and drink, laughter and recognition, and a sense of momentum you can feel. Because when local leaders come together across neighborhoods and movements, it changes what future our city can imagine—and what we can do, together.
